Hardening
Niebuhr Gears is the only Danish gear factory with own internal hardening facilities.
Our hardening plant is in the middle of the production line, in order to follow our LEAN flow principles most efficiently.
We can case harden workpieces up to 1.2 m3 in our furnaces.
For larger gears, Niebuhr has 4 EMA induction hardening machines for gears up to Ø 7000 mm.
For hardening methods and workpieces that are beyond our capabilities, we have good agreements with external hardening contractors.
